Hallmark 1995 Holiday Memories Barbie Special Edition by Mattel
2nd in a series of Special Edition Barbie dolls created exclusively for Hallmark.
Commemorates the 85th Anniversary of Hallmark Cards.
She was inspired by an antique greeting card and was originally designed as a brunnette but only blondes reached mass production since the doll's dark hair blended with the faux fur collar on her white flocked coat.
Barbie is elegantly dressed in an early twentieth-century inspired outfit. Wearing a dazzling red satin dress peeking beneath a flocked coat with "faux fur" collar and sleeves.
She is downtown planning on visiting the stationer's shop, where she selects replicas of holiday postcards from Hallmark's antique card collection. They are similar to those Mr. J.C. Hall, founder of Hallmark, carried with him when he arrived in Kansas City in 1910. A card saying "Hello! I'm thinking o f you," is never out of style.
